Fashion Week LA’s “Antidote to just another fashion show!”
March 8th, 2012 - Hollywood, California - Hollywood’s Top Designer, a fashion showcase and awards show, plans to deliver up an exciting new energy to fashion enthusiasts during Fashion Week Los Angeles with an electric mix of music and fashion in a California Dreaming theme.
The producers of Hollywood’s Top Designer Fashion Awards show take aim at celebrating themes that drive worldwide interest in California, from its fun and sexy surfer scene to its surreal Red Carpet glitz. California style graces the covers of magazines across the globe. Colorful beachwear, Sunset Strip Rockers, and the Red Carpet glamour of the Hollywood scene are all part of the California lifestyle admired around the world. All of these motifs make for a unique, original fashion show where six of Hollywood’s budding but highly deserving “up and coming” fashion designers will be showcased. Celebrity Judges will decide Hollywood’s Top Designer for the California Dreaming lifestyle for 2012.
The show’s creator, Analiza Davidson, has taken the showcase and award show away from the main staging of LA’s Fashion Week to Hollywood, to turn up the electricity for this hot show. The event will stage on Thursday March 15th, 2012, at West Hollywood’s premier venue: the The Factory, located at 652 N.La Peer Dr, West Hollywood, CA 90069. Red Carpet starts at 7PM and the awards show will take place at 8PM. “Golden VIP guests” will have dinner and front row seats to the entire event.
Hollywood’s Top Designer will also be cause-driven, highlighting the delicate balance of the world’s oceans – with California’s own beaches and shores in jeopardy due to the many global crises affecting this precious resource. One World One Ocean, founded by the film makers who have brought some of the most spectacular IMAX movies in the world is going to be there to promote the world ocean environmental causes. One World One Ocean Foundation is a nonprofit organization using the power of film, television and new media to inspire, educate and connect millions of people worldwide in a common purpose: protect and restore the health of the ocean.

Nonito Donaire Jr Made it Happen

The action was tense in the first round as Nonito patiently stalked his foe. Montiel was cautious and attempted to answer with counter lefts but it was there was an alarming edge in speed for Donaire, who had success with fast body shots and the occasional lead right hand.
In the second round round Montiel threw with a right hand but was countered with a flush counter left hook. Montiel crashed to the canvas hard and appeared to be out. The champion's heart allowed him to rise but he was swarmed in the corner by Donaire, with the contest being called off moments later. Read Full Story

Facebook Pages Updates
Dear MIH Customers
Facebook announced major changes yesterday to the design and functionality of its Pages, bringing them closer to individual user profiles in look and functionality. We’re excited about these updates, as they will improve the ability of our customers to connect with audiences. The changes impact the user experience visually, giving a more compelling look and feel to Pages; functionally, allowing brands and companies to operate more the way individual users do; but also by greatly increasing your ability to build richer application experiences using iFrames. In addition to having applications that perform better, brands will also have greater flexibility in the way they name them.
The changes go into effect for all Facebook Pages on March 10, which gives you four weeks to preview the new format and switch over at any time before then. The changes will certainly enhance the visibility, access to, and effectiveness of Involver applications, but it’s important to learn how they work in order to make the most of this exciting new look and feel.
Note, very important: You can preview the new layout but once you upgrade, there is no way to revert back to the old design.
Photo Strip Instead of Tabs Above the Wall
The replacement of tabs with the photo strip at the top adds a dynamic, colorful element that will significantly improve the look of the average Facebook Page. The photos are drawn from the most recent ones you posted to your Wall and those you tagged, but does not include photos posted by fans. Users can hide undesirable photos. The new left nav placement of tabs also allows for longer tab names.
Expanded Functionality For Fan Page Admins
By enabling Fan Page admins to comment in the name of the page itself and to interact with other Fan pages, Facebook has finally made it possible for brands to truly engage in tremendous interactive engine which powered its growth among individuals. Your power as a page administrator is increased in a number of other ways, including the ability to set filters on your Wall so that visitors see relevant posts first, and to view all the content and get notices whenever someone posts to your wall.
MIH Customers
Overall, the changes announced today represent a huge advance in the ability for brands to create rich, individualized experiences for their audiences. For MIH customers, this means enhanced functionality in all the applications you’re used to using and a far more engaging experience on Facebook overall. Still, we recommend that you preview the new look by clicking preview at the top of your Page before making the changes, as you will not be able to go back once you’ve made the update .

'Social Network' Leads Globes With 4 Prizes

The Facebook tale "The Social Network" won top honors Sunday at the Golden Globes with four prizes, including best drama and director, solidifying its prospects as an Academy Awards favorite.
Winning the dramatic lead-acting prizes were Colin Firth for the British monarchy saga "The King's Speech" and Natalie Portman for the psychosexual thriller "Black Swan."
Lead-acting honors for the Globes' musical or comedy categories went to Annette Bening for the lesbian-family story "The Kids Are All Right" and Paul Giamatti for the curmudgeon tale "Barney's Version."
The boxing drama "The Fighter" earned both supporting actor Globes, for Christian Bale and Melissa Leo.
David Fincher, directing winner for "The Social Network," said he thought it was strange when "The Social Network" script came to him, since he usually makes dark character studies about misanthropes or films about serial killers. His films include the murder tales "Seven" and "Zodiac."
"I'm personally loath to acknowledge the kind of wonderful response this film has received for fear of becoming addicted to it, so suffice it to say, it's been really nice," said Fincher, whose film also won the Globes for screenplay for Aaron Sorkin and musical score for Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Sorkin, creator of TV's "The West Wing," had kind words for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, READ FULL ARTICLE
